This two-story home office and show home was built from ground to ceiling using NUDURA ICF products. It is about 2,100 ft.² per level, with a total of 4,200 ft.² of house, and 1,100 ft.² of garage—all heated with in-floor heat using propane. The highest bill for propane in the coldest month to heat approximately 5,300 ft.² was just over $75.
By any stretch of the imagination that is almost FREE!
Due to the efficiency of the major R-Factor walls, 250 mile-an-hour wind load, soundproof, bulletproof, embedded hurricane clips for trusses and being relatively fireproof, we found out quickly that this is the only way to build. It is of comparative cost to basic 2’ x 6’ walls with stucco and fiberglass insulation—if not less.
This 5,300 ft.² home was appraised for almost twice of what it cost for us to build it.
